Beef Ampalaya
Ingredients
Beef (ground) – 300 g
Ampalaya (sliced, seeds removed) – 400 g
Onions (sliced) – 30 g
Garlic (chopped) – 5 g
Cooking oil – 30 g
Kikkoman Oyster Sauce – 30 g
Brown sugar – 10 g
Salt – 2 g
Cornstarch – 5 g
Water – 100 g
Black pepper – pinch
Egg (beaten) – 1 piece
Preparation
In a medium sauté pan, heat oil.
Sauté onions and garlic for about 3 minutes.
Add the ground beef and cook for 5 minutes, or until browned.
Mix cornstarch with water and set aside.
Add oyster sauce, salt, and sugar to the pan.
Add ampalaya and sauté with the sauce for 1 minute.
Add the cornstarch mixture and bring to a boil.
Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the ampalaya is just tender.
Season with black pepper, then bring the pan back to a boil.
Pour the beaten egg over the mixture, cook for 30 seconds, and turn off the heat.
Let the egg set before serving.
