Beef Nachos

Ingredients

For toppings
Sour cream – as desired
Guacamole – as desired
Salsa – as desired
Cilantro (chopped) – as desired
Hot sauce – as desired

For the beef
Ground beef – 1 lb
Olive oil – 1 Tbsp
Onion (small, finely chopped) – 1 piece
Garlic (minced) – 2 cloves
Kikkoman Standard Soy Sauce – 1 tsp
Ground black pepper – ½ tsp
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Paprika – ½ tsp
Dried oregano – ½ tsp
Cayenne pepper – ¼ tsp
Tomato sauce – ½ cup
Kikkoman Worcestershire Sauce – 1 Tbsp

For the nachos
Tortilla chips – 1 bag
Cheddar cheese (shredded) – 1 cup
Monterey Jack cheese (shredded) – 1 cup
Black beans (canned) – ½ cup
Pickled jalapeño slices – ½ cup
Fresh tomatoes (diced) – ½ cup
Black olives (sliced) – ¼ cup
Green onion (chopped) – ¼ cup

Preparation

Step 1
Cook the beef

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Sauté onion and garlic for about 1 minute until aromatic.
Add ground beef and cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart as it browns.
Add all spices and mix well; cook for 1 minute.
Pour in tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce, then simmer for 5 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Set aside.

Step 2
Assemble the nachos

Preheat oven to 190°C.
Spread tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish.
Layer the cooked beef over the chips.
Sprinkle black beans, then the shredded cheeses.
Add jalapeños, black olives, or any other toppings you wish to bake.
Bake for 5–8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 3
Add final toppings and serve

Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes and chopped green onions.
Serve hot with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and hot sauce on the side.
